Dr. Sylvain Charlebois is the Associate Dean - Research and Graduate Studies, College of Management and Economics at the University of Guelph. He is an award winning researcher and teacher. His current research interest lies in the broad area of food distribution and safety, and has published many articles in several academic journals, including the British Food Journal, the Journal of Farm Management, the Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Management, the Journal of Macromarketing, the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review, and the Canadian Journal of Marketing Research. He conducts policy analysis, evaluation, and demonstration projects for government agencies and major foundations focusing on agricultural policies and community development both in Canada and in development settings. Dr. Charlebois is an associate researcher for the Montreal Economic Institute affiliated with the Fraser Institute, works with the C.D. Home Institute, and is also a faculty research fellow in marketing for Viterra.
