Ms. Rawnsley is the Artistic Director of the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival, an annual event in May and the largest literary festival in New Zealand. She completed an MA (Hons) in English at the University of Auckland before working in publishing for a number of years in Auckland and London. She joined the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival in 2001.
