Taufiq is a strategy adviser, political analyst, and writer based in Dubai. He writes in a number of forums on the latest geopolitical trends, particularly those pertaining to the Muslim world. He was previously a Visiting Fellow at the Dubai School of Government and is currently Director of Globesight, a strategy company based in the UAE.
Through his work, travels, and studies, he has held policy discussions with figures as diverse as President Bashar al-Assad of Syria and Lebanese politician Saad Hariri, to former U.S. cabinet secretaries, Donald Rumsfeld, and Colin Powell.
Most recently he was with McKinsey & Company, where he worked on strategy and transformation projects in the public, private, and social sectors across the greater Middle East. Previously, he has worked with the United Nations in Lebanon, Aga Khan Foundation, and National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. He has also served as a dialogue facilitator for Soliya.
