Annabel Karmel is a modern-day “mumpreneur” juggling life as a busy working mother of three with a hugely successful career. She has written more than 20 bestselling cookbooks, appears on radio and television, writes regularly for newspapers and magazines, and is the UK's top author on children's nutritional issues.

Annabel has created a popular range of healthy chilled meals for children, which are available in all major supermarkets. She has also developed a range of equipment for preparing baby food, Annabel Karmel by NUK.

Annabel Karmel is the UK’s best-selling author on baby and children’s food and nutrition. She is an expert in devising tasty and nutritious meals for children without the need for parents to spend hours in the kitchen.

A mother of three, Annabel’s books have sold over 4 million copies worldwide. 2011 marks the 20th anniversary of Annabel’s first book, The Complete Baby & Toddler Meal Planner, which has become the authoritative guide on feeding babies and regularly features in the top five cookery titles. This year also sees the launch of Annabel’s Essential Guide to Feeding your Baby & Toddler, an app for the iphone featuring over 100 recipes, as well as Annabel’s Kitchen, a 30-part television series on cooking with children for CiTV that has proved immensely popular.

Annabel’s popular range of chilled meals is available in major supermarkets. Annabel also has a co-branded range of healthy foods for young children with Disney in supermarkets in the UK, Hong Kong and Canada. She is passionate about improving the way children eat at popular family attractions, hotels and restaurants, and her menus can be found in all the major theme parks, including Legoland, as well as the UK’s largest Holiday Park group – Haven Holidays and Butlin’s.

Annabel is a hugely inspiring speaker on the topic of entrepreneurship but is equally comfortable addressing topics such as Women’s Issues, Leadership, Innovation, Teamwork and Leadership. She has built a global brand from nothing and has ventured into TV, writing and retail to name but a few areas. Her passion and commitment to her brand enable her to motivate business audiences around the world; in addition her understanding of business and innovation make her the ideal keynote speaker for many conferences.

Annabel was awarded an MBE in June 2006 in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for her outstanding work in the field of child nutrition. In 2009 Annabel won a prestigious Caterer & Hotelkeeper Excellence in Food Award for her children’s meals as well as Mother and Baby magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2010 Annabel won the media category of the First Women Awards, which recognise women at the top of their professions who are leading the way for the next generation.
