Contributor Biography

Dr. Holmgren is CEO of LanzaTech and serves on multiple external advisory boards, including the DOE/USDA Biomass R&D Technical Advisory Committee and the NREL Biofuels Advisory Committee. She is the author or co-author of 50 US patents, 31 scientific publications and is the 2003 recipient of the Council for Chemical Research’s (CCR) Malcolm E. Pruitt Award. In 2010, Dr. Holmgren was highly placed on Biofuels Digest’s list of the 100 most influential people in bio-energy.

Prior to LanzaTech, Jennifer enjoyed a 20 year career with UOP LLC, a Honeywell Company. In her most recent role at UOP as VP and General Manager of the Renewable Energy and Chemicals business unit Jennifer led UOP’s renewable business from its inception through to the achievement of significant revenues from the commercialization of multiple novel biofuels technologies.
