Keith Stewart

Contributor Biography
Keith Stewart is a Climate and Energy Campaigner with Greenpeace Canada, where he works on promoting an Energy Revolution that will get Canada and the world off of fossil fuels, and build an equitable and sustainable energy system based on the efficient use of renewable energy.
Keith has been working on climate and energy issues for over a decade, and represents Greenpeace in a variety of public and policy fora, as well as being a frequent media commentator on issues related to energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate policy.
Keith has a Ph.D. in Political Science from York University where he wrote his dissertation on environmental policy and politics in Ontario, and has taught environmental politics and policy at the universities of Toronto, York, Ryerson and Trent. In 2004, he co-authored a book on Ontario electricity politics entitled Hydro: The Decline and Fall of Ontario’s Electric Empire and has authored a number of articles on climate change policy and environmental activism.
He is currently co-teaching a course on energy and environment policy at U of T.
