Contributor Biography
Matthew Paterson is Professor of Political Science at the University of Ottawa. His research focuses on climate change politics, especially on the political-economic dynamics that drive responses to climate change. His most recent book is called Climate Capitalism: global warming and the transformation of the global economy (with Peter Newell, Cambridge University Press 2010). He is working on a series of articles on the use of carbon markets to respond to climate change. He has also recently been appointed a Lead Author by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, working on the chapter on international cooperation for the 5th Assessment Report.
