Maryam Adrangi is an environmental and climate justice organizer based in Toronto. She has worked for the Sierra Club Atlantic as their education program facilitator, developing environmental education projects for youth. She recently worked as an organizer with the Rainforest Action Network on the Clean Up RBC campaign, demanding that Royal Bank of Canada stop financing the tar sands. She was also recently in Copenhagen at the United Nations Climate Change Conference where she was one of the actions coordinators for Canadian youth. Currently, Maryam works with the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition and the Council of Canadians. For the G8 and G20 summits in Toronto, Maryam is organizing with the Toronto Community Mobilization Network which facilitates accommodation, transportation, medic, and legal support for those coming to Toronto to protest the summits.
