Magpies, Bears, Weather Mourn Kim Jong-Il

Basically, if it's in North Korea, it mourned the death of the Dear Leader.

It's been nearly a month since the passing of North Korea's Dear Leader, Kim Jong-Il, but nature – bears, birds, and even the weather – continues to mourn his demise, at least according to the country's state news agency. KCNA "reports" today that a flock of magpies was seen hovering over a statue of Kim Il-Sung, the founder of modern day North Korea, "clattering as if they were telling him the sad news" that his son had died. Other reports from KCNA have said that a family of bears was seen crying uncontrollably on the side of a road out of grief for their fallen leader, and that recent colder-than-average temperatures can also be blamed on Kim's death. However, there appears to be no word yet on whether KCNA will ascribe the country's crippling food shortages and hunger to Kim's death, too.
