The Sudanese President also applauds Libya for ousting its unjust leader.

In his first visit to Libya since the ousting of Col Moammar Gadhafi, Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir offered the country assistance in disarming former rebel groups. As someone with “good experience in integrating insurgents,” Bashir said his officers were ready to help the new Libyan government with similar tasks. He also thanked the people of Libya for removing Gadhafi from power, a move he called the "best piece of news in Sudan's modern history." Bashir had earlier claimed Gadhafi supported Sudanese rebels and accused him of aggression, injustice and violence. Omar al-Bashir is still wanted by the International Criminal Court on numerous counts of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
