Universities, Businesses Buying up .XXX

The least interesting possible versions of KUgirls.xxx and Pepsi.xxx are about to be launched. Universities, public figures and businesses across the world have started buying up the .xxx domains that contain their names in an effort to prevent association with pornography. The .xxx domains went on sale to the public earlier this week as the “adult-only” version of .com sites. Fearful that their good names could be tarnished, notable businesses including Target, Nike and academic institutions have spent thousands of dollars purchasing the sites from the ICM registry. Though presumably most of these company will not use the sites, we can’t help but be curious what Target.xxx could be.
