Sick of "man-to-man hugs," Blatchford wants a return to masculinity.
Christie Blatchford recently spent a day walking around in Toronto, and she has had enough. After seeing a group of young boys greet each other with hugs, she has found herself “mortified” and “appalled” at just how “delicate” the “male creature” has become. Blaming Toronto’s contempt for the Ford brothers on their size and manliness, Blatchford worries that "actual" education is being overridden by anti-bullying, gay-positive education with a regard for social justice. According to her article in the National Post, today’s men and young boys are way too feminine and delicate and need to learn how to kill bugs, play hockey, and fart on cue.
