Mythbusters Cannon Experiment Goes Awry, Damages Neighbourhood

No injuries were reported, although whether a myth was busted remains unclear.
One of the few certainties in this topsy-turvy world is the TV show Mythbusters showing the fun – and more often than not, explosive – side of science. However, one of the program's experiments went more than a bit awry last night. The Mythbusters crew had assembled at the Alameda County bomb disposal range in California to test the launch of a homemade cannon. But the six-inch cannonball flew out of the range, blew through the door of a suburban house, bounced around inside, broke through the wall of a second-story bedroom, and smashed the window of a minivan before coming to a rest. Thankfully, no one was injured (although surely Adam and Jamie's pride is a tad hurt), but we suppose these are the risks people take when they buy homes next to a bomb-disposal range.
