What, Israel? No, couldn't be Israel. Whatever would make you think that? Probably just a little old mistake. Yep! Silly Isfahani, always making mistakes...
It's times like these in which we're not sure whether the Doomsday Clock's hands will move forward or backward, as there was an unexplained explosion this afternoon in the Iranian city of Isfahan, home to one of the country's largest nuclear research facilities. This follows weeks of threats from Israel that it was considering a pre-emptive strike against Iran's nuclear program and talk of more tensions being laid against the Iranian regime. Just three weeks ago, an explosion at a military base near Tehran killed 17 members of the Revolutionary Guards and the man in charge of the country's missile arsenal. Iran blamed that explosion on a warhead accidentally being set off, but this is Iran we're talking about here. Iranian media are so far as confused as the rest of us over what caused this latest blast, although some have now suggested it was a military drill gone awry or a gas station that somehow blew up.
