Pepper spray! Gun shots! Wal-Mart! America! Surprisingly absent? Rebecca Black's "Friday."

Between today and the end of the weekend, an estimated 152 million Americans will make their way to a store for the post-Thanksgiving Black Friday sales, which are expected to generate billions of dollars. Those 152 million shoppers are an increase of about 10 per cent over last year, which has to bode well for the U.S. economy in some capacity. And, just like every year, someone had to go and ruin it for a lot of people by pepper-spraying a crowd at a Wal-Mart in Los Angeles so that she could get a head start on the crazy deals. Twenty people were injured in the incident, while other reports suggest a couple shots were fired at a mall in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Well, at least no one's been killed (yet). Black Friday kicks off a month-long spending bonanza that's expected to bring retailers some $500 billion by the time Christmas rolls around.
