Egyptian Cabinet Resigns Amid Protests

Bloodiest clashes since the ouster of Mubarak threaten to pitch Egypt into chaos a week before elections begin.
Ongoing deadly protests in Cairo have led to the entire Egyptian cabinet tendering their resignations, although it's unclear if the ruling military council will accept their offer. The cabinet said they would serve until they have the council's blessing to step down. Thousands of Egyptians have once again descended on Cairo's Tahrir Square to voice their displeasure with the lack of reform under the ruling council. Reports say as many as 33 people have been killed and more than 1,700 injured in clashes with police over the last three days. Egyptians are still slated to head to the ballot box starting Nov. 28 to vote for parliamentary representatives, although a common refrain among the protesters is that the military will still wield far too much power once the legislature's make-up is decided.
