Would-Be Obama Assassin a Self-Proclaimed "Modern-Day Jesus"

The 21-year-old is now in custody after attempting to shoot the president.

A man has been arraigned for attempting to assassinate U.S. President Barack Obama. Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez from Idaho was charged Thursday after allegedly shooting nine times at the White House. No one was injured, and his AK-47 was found shortly afterwards in a nearby abandoned car. In a video reportedly meant for Oprah Winfrey, Ortega-Hernandez claimed to be a modern day Jesus, and called Obama the Antichrist. In the long clip, he also took on a host of social ills, as the sober freshman inside him warned the U.S. that "whether it's beer pong, quarters, King's Cup or out-chugging the next guy - you know why we do it so much? Because it's the easiest form of competing." Reports suggest he has also claimed that the president planned to insert chips into children. Though his mother insists he has no history of mental illness, the guy must be crazy if he didn’t know the Oprah show was over.
