National Post's Awesome Muppet Battle

Muppet madness seeks to determine the one muppet to rule them all.

Everybody loves The Muppets. If you don't, you're dead inside. In anticipation of the new Jason Segal-written Muppets movie being released next Wednesday, the National Post is holding a tournament to determine which muppet is the greatest of all time. Yesterday, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem beat out Scooter, the Swedish Chef trounced Pepe the King Prawn, Miss Piggy defeated Dr. Julius Strangepork, and in what's easily the toughest matchup of the tourney so far, Gonzo topped Animal. Today, Rizzo the Rat beat Sam the Eagle, Kermit the Frog obliterated Robin the Frog, Dr. Honeydew and Beaker edged out Statler and Waldorf, and Fozzie barely squeaked by Rowlf to make it on to the second round. The first rounds are being decided by Post staff, but the public will get to vote on the final two to determine who the greatest of all time is. Since Animal's gone, we're hopping aboard #TeamFozzie.
