Exploding Toilets the Latest Craze in Calgary

Something has gone terribly, terribly wrong with their local sewage system.

Exploding toilets: the most exciting and frightening thing to happen to Calgary since the formation of the Wildrose party. Over 100 homes were evacuated Friday in the Arbour Lake community after water gushed out of toilets. Aptly named “pea traps” were emptied in the explosions as smelly black sludge leaked into houses from the sewage system. Residents fled to the Arbour Lake Community Centre as six manholes also exploded across the area. The incident was apparently caused by a product that went down the sewage system, caught fire, and started an explosion. Residents have since returned to their smelly, smelly homes.
