Norway Considers Warning Labels for Airbrushed Ads

In an effort to promote better body image, the Norwegian government could soon require the advertising industry to show how the sausage is made.
Leave it to uber-progressive Norway to consider putting warning labels on ads featuring models that have been airbrushed. The country's equality minister (of course they have an equality minister) Audun Lysbakken, says that the government is going to be discussing with the country's advertising industry a proposal that would aim to inform young people – girls in particular – that the the bodies displayed on billboards and in magazines are for the most part unattainable, even if Norwegians have been hailed as being the most attractive people on the planet. The push for the warning labels emanated from the youth wing of Norway's Red Party, which has been known to deface advertisements that they deem to be misleading or offensive.
