Nickelback Will Still Play Thanksgiving Halftime Show

The Lions organization says that Nickelback will still be playing at the showdown between two of the league's best teams on that most sacred of American public holidays, Thanksgiving. The decision to have the monotonous, faux-grunge oil-rock band play in one of the most hallowed of American musical cities set off a firestorm of criticism, and led to more than 50,000 people signing an online petition to have the Lions ditch Nickelback in favour of, well, just about anything, really.
