F-35 Roll Out Pushed Back Another Two Years

... So, has anything gone right with the F-35 project?

The problems keep mounting with the F-35 tactical fighter: U.S. military officials are now saying that the jets won't be ready until 2018, two years later then they were originally supposed to be rolled out. This comes after the project already being delayed some five years, and with the price of each jet magically increasing from some $65 million to now $150 million, the whole F-35 project is veering dangerously close to "boondoggle" territory. Oh, and there's a chance they won't be able to operate fully in the Arctic. The Canadian Forces had hoped that their shipment of F-35s would arrive to replace the fleet of CF-18s by 2017, but this latest delay will push that back even further.
