Because with Libyan liberation and Tunisian elections, there was no way three pieces of good news could come from the Middle East in the same day.
Egypt's Ayman Yusef Mansur has been sentenced to three years in prison with hard labour. His crime? Insulting Islam on Facebook. That's right, the social networking site can not only waste your time and ruin your relationships, it can also put you in jail. According to the Egyptian MENA news agency, Mansur was sentenced by a civilian court in Cairo for purposefully insulting the dignity of the religion, the Koran, the Prophet, and all Muslims. He was arrested in August. Needless to say, it is against Egyptian law to insult religion. Maybe Facebook needs a special ops team after all.
