Buttock from Saddam Hussein Statue To Be Auctioned

If you've ever wanted a two-square-foot bronze piece of Saddam Hussein's rear end (and honestly, who hasn't?), it can be all yours for just $15,000.
An auction house in the U.K. will redefine the term "a fine piece of ass" later this month when it sells one half of the buttocks of the bronze statue of Saddam Hussein that was taken down during the U.S. invasion of Baghdad. The famed statue stood in Baghdad's al-Fardous Square until April 2003 when joyous locals ripped down the symbol of oppression. A British soldier, Nigel Ely, managed to pry loose one of the statue's cheeks with a hammer and a crowbar, sent it back home, and has now handed it over to Hansons Auctioneers. The buttock will be sold off on Oct. 27, and is expected to fetch at least $15,000. Iraq, meanwhile, continues to suffer from an epidemic of suicide bombings and sectarian hostilities.
