Poll of the Day: With just three days of campaigning to go, the Liberals maintain a solid seven-point lead ahead of the PCs.
The latest poll numbers from EKOS ought to lead to more excitable hand gestures from Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty, as his party seems headed to a third straight term in government – although whether it's a minority or majority government is up in the air. The poll of 1,200 voters puts Liberal support at 37.8 per cent support, ahead of the Progressive Conservatives (at 30.6 per cent), the NDP (22.7 per cent), and the Green Party (7.3 per cent). According to pollster Frank Graves, this poll, which was taken after last week's debate, shows the debate didn't change the trajectory of any party's campaign. Another poll from over the weekend was a little more favourable to Tim Hudak and the Tories, but both polls point to the likelihood of a minority government in which the NDP would likely hold the balance of power.
