Six-Ton Satellite Still on Crash Course with Humanity

But it will probably miss North America. This time.

This is just a friendly reminder that a school-bus sized NASA satellite is going to fall to Earth sometime over the next 48 hours, and there's a one in 3,200 chance it will hit someone, but we don't know for sure where or when it's going to happen. NASA says the satellite likely won't hit the U.S. or Canada, which is nice, but that could also change at any minute. They're also expecting the six-ton satellite to leave behind an 800-kilometre or so trail of debris behind it, too, so, heads up, planet Earth. You'd hate to be the first ever human being killed by a defunct satellite. Oh, and here's some spooky video of the satellite corkscrewing down to Earth taken by an amateur astronomer in France.
