The Buffett Rule

Nope, this isn't about loading up on carbs. It's a tax thing.

President Obama would like to introduce to you: the Buffett Rule. On Monday, the White House is expected to announce a plan to ensure that millionaires pay taxes at least at the same rate as those earning under $250,000. (Surprisingly, this is not already status quo, thanks to lower tax rates for investment income). Though the details have yet to be revealed, experts say it’s probably related to the $1.2 trillion a congressional panel is trying to trim from the U.S. deficit. On the bright side, this means at least one American still reads the New York Times op-eds.
