Morons Dress in Blackface for Frosh Event

Universite de Montreal students commit one of the dumbest things ever done during a frosh week, which is saying a lot.

A bunch of idiots at the Universite de Montreal's frosh week dressed up in blackface as part of their (cheap and terrible) costumes of Jamaican sprinters. Oh, and here's the video, should you want to ruin your afternoon. Your choice, really. The incident was filmed by Anthony Morgan, a McGill law student of Jamaican descent who's now considering filing a human rights complaint (understandably, we might add). The frosh event was intended to show off all the clubs and societies the U de M has to offer, and it appears as though the culprits were on hand to represent the university's track and field team. They chanted “smoke more weed!” and other such high-minded epithets in Jamaican accents, apparently having no comprehension at all of the past 400 years or so of race relations on this continent. The university intends to investigate the matter, while the school's race relations unit says it will demand the students responsible for the incident are held to account.
