Facebook Launching Something Else to Annoy You

Basically: Facebook kind of copies Google+'s Circles concept, which Google had kind of copied from Facebook.

Facebook is up to its old habit of springing new developments on unsuspecting users, this time with a feature that aggregates your friends based on how you know them into “smart lists,” which sound an awful lot like Google+'s “Circles” feature. (Remember Google+? Is anyone still on that?) We're sure there's bound to be some privacy complaints about this once it goes live tomorrow, but Facebook is going full steam ahead with the plan, which the social media giant says will give users the option of tailoring messages to certain groups of friends, or coworkers, or family, or what have you. Facebook users have actually been able to organize their friends like this for the past year, but the company says no one really used that feature, so they're taking it upon themselves to do it for us. Well, thanks for asking, guys.
