Stephen Harper Hates Travelling

This really brings that whole 'Michael Ignatieff: Just Visiting' smear campaign into focus.
In a revelation that should come as a surprise to no one, memos released by Wikileaks reveal that Prime Minister Stephen Harper really doesn't like travelling abroad. A memo from the U.S. embassy from December 2009 reports that Harper didn't see why he had to travel to Asia twice in the same month (awww, poor fella has to cross the Pacific in his personal jet twice in the same month), with the memo stating the PM “generally dislikes foreign travel.” The Globe and Mail also reminds us that during Harper's little excurision to Central and South America, he was overheard complaining that “three days is a long trip for me.” After all, this is the guy who had only visited United States before becoming prime minister, and he leads a party that has made demonizing Canadians who live abroad into an art form. So much for travelling broadening horizons.
