The California resident was attacked by a swarm of killer bees while out for a walk.
They say no one is truly invincible, but Louis Todero is coming awfully close. The 95-year-old California resident survived an Africanized honey bee (aka “killer bee”) attack that left him stung nearly 600 times. Police report he was just walking down a Redondo Beach street when a swarm of bees responded to the provocations of an exterminator who was trying to destroy their hive on the roof of a nearby apartment. It could’ve been worse: a local expert said a swarm cluster can include up to 50,000 bees. Todero was hospitalized on Wednesday but is said to bee doing well. Doctors are still counting the stingers in his body.
