Obama's Bus is Canadian, Therefore Evil

Canadians: Stealing hardworking Americans' jobs since 1867.

U.S. President Barack Obama is getting a little heat (well, from the New York Post) for using a Canadian-made bus for his cross-country tour this summer. The luxurious bus, made by Prevost of Sainte-Claire, Que., is the same kind used by the likes of Kid Rock and Kenny Rogers, and has been nicknamed the “Darth Vader” bus for its striking similarity to the evil Sith lord's black helmet. Beyond being an instrument of Emperor Palpatine, though, the usual suspects are complaining that the federal government should have bought a bus made in the U.S. because of the job shortage and all that jazz. The feds also bought a second bus, which will be used by Mitt Romney or whichever Republican nominee ends up with presidential candidacy next year. Republicans are already lining up to criticize the “Canadian” bus, so the prez better hide his maple-syrup supply lest the more protectionist wings of the GOP decide his pancakes aren't American enough.
