Separatists Form New Separatist Party

No word yet on whether Nycole Turmel and Denis Lebel are members yet.
A bunch of Quebec separatists who separated from another separatist party have started a (surprise!) new separatist group, apparently not getting the memo that most of the rest of the province seems to have moved on to more important issues. Nouveau Mouvement pour le Quebec, or NMQ, issued their manifesto today, calling for fresh ideas that would lead to Quebec independence, such as holding town hall meetings across the province to find out what the average Quebecker thinks of sovereignty. The new party, led by radio host and former Greenpeace activist Jocelyn Desjardins, is comprised of 77 sovereigntists, many of whom are former members of the provincial Parti Québécois who left over frustration with the PQ's lukewarm commitment to separation. The sovereignty movement has been looking a little lean these days, what with the utter trouncing of the Bloc Québécois at the hands of the federalist NDP and the PQ in disarray, so the NMQ certainly has their work cut out for them. Break a leg, guys!
