The legendary British artist will send new pieces from his iPod and iPad to the ROM.
One of the most influential artists of the century is coming to the Royal Ontario Museum this fall— with his iPad. Renowned British artist David Hockney is set to unveil a new exhibit in Toronto with drawings created on iPhones and iPads on October 8th. Called “David Hockney’s Fresh Flowers,” the exhibit will feature 200 iPhone and iPad drawings displayed on 20 iPod touches and 20 iPads. There will also be a triptych slide show with 169 other images. Hockney, 74, has allegedly had his suits outfitted with special iPad pockets for the occasion so he can sketch conveniently and send updated photos to galleries and friends. Apparently the bad boy of pop art is also the coolest senior citizen in the Commonwealth.
