Jays' prez Paul Beeston says the team will look more "Canadian," although we're not sure how their outfielders will fare in skates.
Now that they boast Brett Lawrie, a legitimate, honest-to-goodness Canadian, in their line-up, the Toronto Blue Jays plan on going even more Canuck by unveiling new uniforms featuring red and white as part of a campaign to make them “Canada's team” – not that they have much competition. While the current uniforms aren't exactly head-turning (they're not much of anything, beyond pleasantly average), we'd much rather see them return to the classic get-ups they wore throughout the 1980s and 1990s, but we'll withhold judgment on the new uniforms until we actually see them. How the red and white will be incorporated is anyone's guess, although we're making the radical and bold prediction that somewhere on the uniform or hat will be the head of a blue jay.
