Never again will you have to actually talk to your ex-lovers once you've left them with the worst kind of souvenir.
So, you've got gonorrhea, and now you have to break the news to your partner(s). Instead of an awkward phone call, or a coffee date that could end with boiling liquid in your face, the B.C. government wants you to send them an e-card that cheerfully breaks the news to them before offering treatment options. It's the first time a provincial health authority has taken to e-cards to help curb the spread of sexually transmitted infections, although both Toronto and Ottawa have had similar programs already in place. (Check out all six options here!) We're not so sure that getting a surprise email in your inbox alerting you that you've been exposed to a STI is the best way to go about that always-sensitive conversation, but then again, there really isn't a good way to learn that your urine might burn a little for the next couple weeks.
