Stephen Duckett, former CEO of Alberta Health Services, will receive $730,000 in severance following his November dismissal. The AHS leader was let go by mutual agreement after videos surfaced of him refusing to answer media questions, instead telling reporters, “I’m eating my cookie.” Several AHS board members resigned following the dismissal. Duckett is controversial in the province for his claim that well-connected people receive expedited care.
