Israeli Forces Board Gaza-Bound Yacht

No incidents were reported after commandos took control of the Dignite al-Karama some 40 kilometres offshore from Gaza.

Israeli forces have intercepted and boarded the lone French yacht that sailed into waters off the shore of Gaza, ending the flotilla saga with a bit of a whimper. Which is probably for the better, considering how last year's went out with a bunch of bangs and dead bodies, so ... improvement, we guess? Commandos surrounded the Dignite al-Karama after the yacht refused to turn around. After four hours, they boarded the yacht as they towed the vessel toward land. No violence was reported, and the commandos apparently offered food and drink to the 16 activists and journalists aboard. The activists say their mission to get to Gaza isn't over, but, yeah, let's face it, as far as we care, it's over.
