Poll Has Hudak Leading Liberals by 11 Points

Barring a tumultuous campaign, the Progressive Conservatives are poised to take over Queen's Park with a majority government.

Things aren't exactly going so well for the Ontario Liberals this summer, what with the constant exodus of MPPs who say they don't want to run again, and now a poll that suggests Tim Hudak's Progressive Conservatives now have an 11-point lead on Premier Dalton McGuinty's Grits. The PC nabbed 42 per cent of repsondents, while the Liberals trail at 31, and the NDP are bringing up the rear at 22 per cent. As it stands, those numbers would likely lead to a Tory majority in Queen's Park. The NDP's numbers have been rising, too, in part due to the success of their federal counterparts. All this boils down to the Liberals losing support to both the left and right, which, you may recall, happened federally as well.
