Diplomats say it's time for the Transitional National Council to sit down with the Gadhafi regime.
Saif al-Islam, son of Moammar Gadhafi, told an Algerian newspaper that French officials have been in contact with his father's regime to discuss ending the civil war that's ravaged Libya since February. While French officials said they had merely told liaisons that Gadhafi must step down from power, they did elaborate in saying it's time for the Transitional National Council, the diplomatic arm of the rebel movement, to begin talks with the Gadhafi regime to bring the war to an end. The TNC has so far refused to talk with Gadhafi until he's stepped down, but the Libyan dictator shows no signs yet of intending to do so.
