The new deal is horrible news for people (I'm not naming) who prefer to browse Facebook unshowered and in their underwear.

It's official – Skype and Facebook are joining forces to bring the video-chat service to the world's largest social network. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the deal today at the company's headquarters in a move that seems aimed at kneecapping Google+ before that social network is released to the public. Skype, in the process of being purchased by Microsoft for $8.5 billion, will allow Facebook's 750-odd million users to talk face-to-face with friends. Google+'s “Huddle” feature, however, allows for group video-conferencing, although that feature could soon be added to Facebook. Zuckerberg also announced that the text-chat feature on Facebook will now be able to host multiple people in a single conversation.
