Hacked Fox News Account Tweets Obama Assassinated

A leading Fox News Twitter account was hacked earlier today, with the culprits issuing messages saying U.S. President Barack Obama had been assassinated at an Iowa restaurant on the nation's birthday. The account, @FoxNewsPolitics, sent out six messages this morning saying Obama had been shot dead. “2 gunshot wounds have proved too much. It's a sad 4th for #america. #obamadead RIP," reads one tweet, while another bode good luck to Vice-President Joe Biden in his new role as commander-in-chief. The tweets have yet to be deleted, for some reason, but the Fox News website carries a message apologizing for any distress the tweets might have caused.
