Royal Mania in Canada officially begins when the couple lands in Ottawa this afternoon.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge boarded a Canadian Forces plane early Thursday morning at London's Heathrow Airport to kick off their first tour of Canada as a couple. The royal newlyweds are expected to land in Ottawa at 2 p.m., where they will be greeted by Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, RCMP Commissioner William Elliott, and other dignitaries. From there, William and Kate will meet Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife, Laureen, to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the National War Memorial. William and Kate have a long day ahead of them, capping it off with a youth barbecue reception at 6 p.m.
