[VIDEO] Last summer's G20 marked a pretty pathetic chapter in the history of peaceful protests.
Steve Paikin, the host of TVO's The Agenda, offers an eyewitness account of what he calls police brutality during the Toronto G20 Summit last June. Caught in the middle of mass arrests last summer, Paikin live-tweeted his experience, emphasizing the peaceful nature of the protests in contrast to the violence brought forth by the police: "literally more than 100 officers with guns pointing at the crowd. rubber bullets and smoke bombs ready to be fired. rubber bullets fired." This, and many other tweets, offered Paikin's followers a sense of the mayhem that encompassed Toronto on that historic weekend.
