The injured congresswoman faces a long road to complete recovery, but has already made significant progress in the past five months.
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has been released from a Houston hospital, five months after being shot in the head during a deadly rampage in Tucson, Ariz. Giffords will require intense physical therapy for some time to help her recover her ability to walk and speak, and it's not known if she'll ever be able to assume her duties in Congress. Giffords will be moving in with her husband, Mark Kelly, the astronaut who just led the space shuttle Endeavor's final mission, in suburban Houston, from where she'll visit TIRR Memorial Hermann everyday to continue her recovery.
