The roving band of digital pranksters strikes one of the biggest intelligence agencies on the planet.

LulzSec, the group of “hacktivists” responsible for breaching a string of websites in recent weeks, has now broken into the Central Intelligence Agency's website for no other purpose than “the lulz." The hack followed LulzSec's attack on the U.S. Senate website (and preceded a second attack on the Senate site) suggesting an emboldening of the group as it begins to target high-profile government institutions. The group has also opened up a phone hotline for people to suggest new victims for their hacks. Meanwhile, some 32 people linked to Anonymous, of which LulzSec is suspected of being a scion, were arrested in Turkey this week on suspicions they helped breach Turkish government websites.
