With images, text, and voice covered now, can Google Smell be far off?
Google will introduce new features that will allow users to search with images or their voice. For the image search, users can upload a photo to the search engine, which would then return results about that image – a map might yield data about the region it represents, while a Toronto Maple Leafs logo could return phone numbers for golf lessons. Google Voice Search has been available on mobile phones for more than a year now, but the service is now set to be rolled out for computers as well. Users too lazy to type will be able to ask a question, enter typical search terms, or even have a sentence translated into another language by the new application.
