Canucks Beat Bruins

Vancouver is now one game away from a historic Cup victory.

A single third-period goal by forward Maxim Lapierre has placed the Vancouver Canucks one win short of clinching the Stanley Cup. The game's single goal sent the Rogers Arena crowd of 18,860 -- and the 100,000-strong crowd in downtown Vancouver -- into a frenzy. After six games, the Canucks only have six goals, an all-time Stanley Cup finals record, beating the 1999 Buffalo Sabres, who had nine goals after six games. The Sabres lost that Cup, but the Canucks hope to beat those odds when they face off against the Bruins in Boston on Monday.
