Tory Donor Database Hacked

LulzRaft, the same hacking group that posted a message saying the prime minister choked on a hash brown, strikes the Tories again.

The hacking group that posted a fake news release on the Conservative party's website yesterday now claims it breached a database of Tory donors. LulzRaft published a list of more than 5,000 names and email addresses of people who've donated to the party in recent years, saying it did so not out of malice but just to show how weak the database's security was. While the names of donors are publicly available, their email addresses are not, and the database that LulzRaft accessed appears to have data on tens of thousands of donors. LulzRaft also hacked the Husky Energy website today, posting a message saying the company was giving out free gas today to mark “Conservative Appreciation Day."
