Name Stephen Harper's Kitten

The Canadian Prime Minister turns to his Facebook friends to help him name his new cat.

Stephen Harper and his family announced their family's furry new addition on the prime minister's Facebook page, offering the public a chance to name the feline. "Happy to have a new Harper at 24,” a statement on the site said. “He’s a grey tabby and needs a name, vote for your favourite.” So far the suggestions have been slightly corny, including Major (as in Majority) and Stanley (as in the Cup) but voting closes Monday so there's still time to vote for your favourite. The prime minister is known as a cat lover, having participated in the Ottawa Humane Society’s Foster Program with his wife, Laureen.
